American Legion Post 136 held its Honor Flag barbecue Saturday in Arroyo Grande at Brisco's True Value Hardware.
The fundraiser honored nearly 2,200 veterans buried at the Arroyo Grande Cemetery. Organizers say they are transitioning from Christmas wreaths to honor flags because of high prices.
The money raised will help them get through that transition so they can continue honoring veterans during the Christmas season.
