A gas leak prompted an evacuation in an Avila Beach neighborhood on Thursday.
According to CAL FIRE SLO, it happened shortly after 10 a.m. on Canvasback Place, when someone digging a trench struck a gas line.
Approximately 100 residents were evacuated, while another 200 were told to shelter in place while the gas company made repairs.
As of 12:40 p.m., officials said the leak had been stopped.
