If you are a fan of classic Bugs Bunny cartoons, then get ready for some nostalgic fun in 2021. So many of us have turned to TV for comfort during 2020, and one network decided to resurrect one of childhood’s most treasured memories: Saturday morning cartoons.
Mark your calendar for Jan. 2, 2021, and make sure you have plenty of your favorite cereal on hand. Starting at 7 a.m. EST, MeTV (check your local listings for channels in your area) will begin airing an amazing lineup of the shows many of us loved as kids.
Fans looking to return to the glory days of their childhoods had a specific request for network programmers and kept bombarding them with e-mails and messages about their favorite cartoons, MeTV revealed in their announcement about the three-hour cartoon block coming to Saturday mornings.
Finally, MeTV tweeted what they were waiting to hear.

According to MeTV’s announcement, the three-hour block will include episodes from “Looney Tunes” and “Merrie Melodies,” which means we’ll be seeing Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd and hopefully other favorite characters, as well as “Popeye & Friends” and “Tom & Jerry.”
You may recall Popeye as the sailor man who gets his strength to save the day by eating his spinach. He’s usually saving his favorite girl Olive Oyl from the shenanigans of Brutus.
Tom & Jerry are the cat and mouse whose hilarious chase scenes, mostly without dialogue, have had fans laughing since 1940, when iconic animators William Hanna and Joseph Barbera created them.
Now, we can enjoy these childhood friends every Saturday morning once again and introduce them to a new generation.
