The Snow Queen

Spanos Theatre, Performing Arts Center San Luis Obispo
Ballet Theatre SLO brings Hans Christian Andersen’s tale to the stage in this family-friendly production featuring local dancers.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15

Breakfast with Santa
8:30-11 a.m.
Woman’s Club Community Center, 211 Vernon St., Arroyo Grande
Enjoy a pancake breakfast with fun toppings and meet and take pictures with Santa Claus.

Tamale-Making Class
10 a.m.-1 p.m.
DANA Adobe Cultural Center, 671 S. Oakglen Ave., Nipomo
Learn how to make fresh masa, different tamale fillings, red or green chile sauces, and proper wrapping techniques. Participants will take home a dozen of their own handmade tamales after class.

Santa’s Discovery Workshop
10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum, 705 S. McClelland St., Santa Maria
Kids can meet Santa Claus and make holiday-themed crafts, decorate cookies, and go on a sweet scavenger hunt. Carolers from St. Joseph High School will be singing holiday songs.

Holiday Magic at the Charles Paddock Zoo
10:15 a.m.-2 p.m.
Charles Paddock Zoo, 9100 Morro Rd., Atascadero
Watch as the animals tear into gifts delivered by Santa Claus. Plus, a strolling magician will be entertaining the crowds.
Admission: $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $5 for children ages 3-11, and free for children 2 and under

Christmas & Holiday Sing-Along
4 p.m.
Clark Center, 487 Fair Oaks Ave., Arroyo Grande
Enjoy regional music and dance groups while singing along with family and friends to your favorite Christmas carols and holiday songs. Presented by the Arroyo Grande Rotary Club, proceeds will benefit local school performing arts groups.
Tickets: $12 for adults, $6 for children
