The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Foundation recently donated 48 new Google Chromebooks to Jonata Middle School in Buellton.

The school applied for the donation through the tribe’s Technology in Schools Program. Principal Hans Rheinschild says the school has a goal of making sure every student has access to a laptop.

Clarence Ruth and Buena Vista elementary schools in Lompoc and the Carpinteria Unified School District will also reportedly receive grant awards from the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Foundation in the coming weeks.
