This Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Santa Barbara Zoo invites the community to Fairytale Weekend.
Santa Barbara Zoo Members have access to early admission at 9 a.m.
Fairytale Weekend will include meet-and-greets with fairytale characters, photo opportunities, animal encounters and more.
The weekend is not just limited to princesses, but pirates, frog lovers and all types of costumed characters are welcome.
Those in attendance will also have the opportunity to learn more about frog conservation efforts and FrogWatch USA, a group of "citizen scientists" that are trained to identify and count frogs and toads in local wetlands, creeks and other habitats.
Other popular activities include the "Kiss a Frog" booth, face painting, a bounce house, crafts and more, all with a fairytale theme.
General admission at the Santa Barbara Zoo is $19.95 for adults, $11.95 for children ages of 2-12 and free for children under the age of 2.
Parking is $11.
