A fence now surrounds Santa Maria’s Rodenberger Park playground where a new structure will soon stand.
The area at 2725 Santa Barbara Drive was fenced off Monday.
The new playground will include different slides, a swing set, reservable field and fitness course.
Work is expected to be complete by mid-August.
