Santa Barbara County Animal Services is offering families and individuals the chance to foster a pet during the holidays.
Foster Express starts Saturday and goes through Jan. 9.
Staff members say this program gives pets a chance to spend the holidays curled up in a cozy home instead of a shelter cage.
Families can take home a cat or dog for two-weeks.
The 2019 Foster Express was deemed a tremendous success and nearly all of the animals were with a family for the holidays.
If foster parents fall in love with their pet, they can adopt them for half the regular fee.
