Police activity prompted a brief lockdown at Grover Beach Elementary School on Tuesday.
Grover Beach police say officers were pursuing someone in the southern part of the city.
The felony suspect was eventually taken into custody in front of the school.
The lockdown was lifted by 12:12 p.m. and the roads reopened.
Police did not provide additional information on the incident but said there is no outstanding public threat.
