Late August weather is looking very steady

and last updated

We saw more morning clouds both at the coast and some interior locations as well, some breezy afternoon winds helped clear most clouds (except for a few beach areas).

The inland warm temps of today look to back off into the upcoming weekend.

We'll also see lighter coastal winds Friday into early next week. This will limit marine layer mixing, meaning those beach clouds could linger longer than they did today.

It will also cool beach temps back into the 60s for the most part.

Away from the beaches near average temperatures are likely, 70s to 80 in the coastal valleys and Southcoast with lower 90s inland.

Temperatures will warm next week with an upper level ridge building over The West, though it doesn't look really intense but should produce above average temps at the interior valleys and coastal valleys.
