The Paso Market Walk is progressing with new shops and restaurants going in.
Organizers hosted a tour of the market Thursday, which is both indoors and outdoors. They say it’s a place for locals and tourists to visit from around the world.
The project architect, McShane Murnane, spoke about the modern and historical aspect of the market. He says it was important for them to incorporate an old tree and historic home that's been transformed into a farm to table restaurant.
"The historic home is a cultural monument. For many people, they know the florist that was there for many years. So it’s a big part of this town. So that house remaining is an important part of this project too,” said architect, McShane Murnane.
The Paso Market Walk is expected to open in early 2020.
