What appeared to be a house fire in Paso Robles on Sunday turned out to be a training exercise for local firefighters.
Paso Robles City Fire said crews were conducting a first-alarm fire drill at a home on Riverside Avenue.
Three homes are being torn down, giving firefighters an opportunity to use the structures for training.
Officials said the smoke seen at the scene was actually roof dust and there was no hazard to the public.
