Rollover crash sparks vegetation fire south of Biddle Ranch

A small vegetation fire sparked after a car rolled off the roadway and caught fire on Orcutt Road near Avila Ranch Lane in San Luis Obispo County Saturday evening.

Cal Fire responded to the crash and fire at 5:52 p.m. The vegetation fire was quickly contained.

California Highway Patrol identified the driver was traveling northbound when she lost control of the vehicle in the 6000 block of Orcutt Road for unknown reasons, causing the car to leave the roadway, take out a fence and catch fire.

The driver had minor abrasions from the crash but was not seriously injured.
