San Luis Obispo has a new event venue for weddings, corporate events, parties, workshops and more.
It's called The Penny.
The venue celebrated its opening Wednesday at 664 Marsh St. in downtown.
It was constructed in the 1930s to house a blacksmith shop.
Event organizers say the building's historic aesthetic showcases its original architecture with modern fixtures and decor.
