The former Nielsen's Market in the Santa Ynez Valley is getting a makeover.
The market was bought earlier this year by two people who live in the area, Teresa and Greg King.
They have lived in Santa Ynez for 18 years and own several stores in Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo.
They say they were about to move when they got the opportunity to buy the market.
Since buying it, they changed the name to the Valley Fresh Market and are in the process of changing the style of the market and restaurant.
"I'd love for people to come through the process with us. Come in and look around maybe do a little shopping as we do the renovations, but just excuse our dust and our mess. The one thing that we like to do is help customers and I tell you when we have a store this store up, it gives us a lot of opportunities to do that," grocery story owner Greg King.
They say they are adding 1,000 new products and are moving some isles to make room for fresh food. They also say they will have a fresh deli.
Renovations are expected to last three to six months.
