Offshore winds will develop again tonight into Wednesday morning but the strongest offshore winds will likely develop Thursday.
The offshore winds tonight should see some gusts of 15-25mph locally. These NE winds will keep skies mostly clear. I think Wednesday will be warm again but perhaps not AS warm as today. Thursday and Friday the temps look hot with 90s on tap for coastal valleys and interior valleys with beaches in the 80s.
Thursday and Friday while we are quite warm, Southern California will experience a strong Santa Ana where temps will be hot and combine with some winds with gust potential past 50 mph.
Later Friday a weak system passes thru the Pacific NW and temps will come down into the upper 80s for most on Saturday with additional cooling Sunday of another 10 degrees. By Monday and Tuesday temps should be near normal or even below average by a few degrees. We will also see the reappearance of the marine clouds near the coast.
Models are not currently giving us much hope for rain in October.
