CAL FIRE says it will be conducting a 20-acre prescribed burn Friday in southwestern San Luis Obispo County.
This burn will take place about 1.3 miles southeast of Orcutt Road and Lopez Lake Drive.
People in the east Arroyo Grande area and those traveling Lopez Lake Drive or Huasna Road may see smoke in the Huasna Valley from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The prescribed burn is part of CAL FIRE’s Vegetation Management Program. It is intended to reduce highly flammable brush in an area prone to wildfires.
CAL FIRE says the project will be rescheduled if weather conditions are not favorable.
