ORIGINAL STORY – Firefighters responded to a vegetation fire near Templeton early Wednesday afternoon.
It was reported at about 12:30 p.m. on Santa Rita Road about halfway between Vineyard Drive and Highway 46.
CAL FIRE initially reported a 1/4 acre fire with a slow rate of spread. As of 1:15 p.m., fire officials said the fire had burned about three acres and crews were making good progress.
