Country star Brad Paisley will perform at a concert in May that will benefit communities affected by the Thomas Fire and mudslides.
TV show host Ellen DeGeneres, who owns a home in the Montecito area, will appear as a special guest.
The concert will take place May 12 at the Santa Barbara Bowl. The show is being called "The Second Responders," to "honor to those who were on the front lines, the first responders, at the recent southern California wildfires and mudslides," according to the event page’s description.
"Proceeds from the concert will benefit the community and service workers through local organizations," the event page says.
A locals-only tickets pre-sale is Friday, March 23 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Tickets can be bought at the Santa Barbara Bowl box office, and purchases will be restricted by billing zip codes in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura counties. There will also be an online pre-sale for locals on Friday from noon-10 p.m. with the same billing code restrictions as in-person purchases.
