The 2018 Concerts in the Plaza will kick off on June 8 in downtown San Luis Obispo with 80s tribute band "The Molly Ringwald Project."
The free summer concert series continues every Friday night from 5-8 p.m. at Mission Plaza through Sept. 14.
Organizers extended the event by one week this year.
Also new this year, attendees who would like to purchase beer are asked to bring their own reusable cups or purchase a commemorative Concerts in the Plaza pint glass for $10. Firestone Walker Brewing Company beer will also be available for purchase in cans. Wine will be available and provided in reusable glasses.
