Santa Maria police say a shooting late Friday night at the La Vista Apartments, located at W. Morrison and S. Western Ave., was a case of domestic violence.
The incident happened at about 11:45 p.m. on Friday, March 30.
Police say a woman was shot three times and taken to a local hospital for treatment. She has since been released.
Investigators say the woman’s boyfriend is the suspect and they are currently looking for him. They declined to release his name at this time.
Police say the woman’s three children are safe and in her custody.
