A fallen airman was honored with a memorial service Wednesday in Arroyo Grande.

U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Michael Clardy died at his work station at Fort Gordon in Georgia on Nov. 15, 2017.

While his funeral was held in Florida, a special memorial was held for his California family members at Harvest Church in Arroyo Grande. Welcome Home Military Heroes provided the flag line.

"Because it’s important to the families to know that there are people out there that support them and that they believe in our military," said Robert Tolan, found and president of Welcome Home Military Heroes.

Clardy had served in the Air Force since 2004.

He is survived by his wife and their four children.

The Air Force said no foul play was suspected in the 34-year-old’s death.
