The Pozo Saloon is under new ownership and next month, locals will be able to enjoy the property once again.
According to Dean Merchant, co-owner of the property, crews are busy working to make the restaurant safe before they can open it up.
That reportedly includes cutting off dead tree branches and doing maintenance on the electrical, plumbing and irrigation.
Merchant says the property will reopen on Cinco de Mayo.
The Pozo Saloon, located in the small town of Pozo in eastern San Luis Obispo County, has been an area landmark since 1858.
