Two men are facing attempted murder charges after San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s officials say they attacked a co-worker at a job site in rural Arroyo Grande.

On the morning of Friday, March 30, deputies responded to a local hospital to interview a stabbing victim. The man reportedly had a cut on his back and told investigators he had been attacked by two coworkers who were also his former roommates.

Sheriff’s officials say the man told them the suspects had also brandished a gun at him the previous night in Santa Maria.

Later that evening, police arrested Hector Tinoco Agustin, 20, and Jonathan Tinoco, 24, at their Santa Maria home.

Investigators say they found a stolen pistol and an assault rifle inside the home.

The two are being held at the San Luis Obispo County Jail on $500,000 bail each.
