A car fire along Highway 101 in Nipomo was slowing traffic through the area Friday afternoon.
The fire was reported at about 3:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway near the Tefft offramp.
Drivers said they were backed up at least half a mile and could see smoke in the area.
