A suspect in a Paso Robles human trafficking investigation arrested in Illinois is now in custody in San Luis Obispo County.

Jail logs show Walter Thomas, Jr., 44, was booked into county jail Thursday on multiple charges after being extradited from Illinois.

Paso Robles police said in January that Thomas, who also goes by the nickname Shaky, was acting as a pimp.

He was arrested in Illinois last month and was being held in Grundy County until his extradition this week.

Bail is set at more than $1 million.

Additional details related to the case or his arrest have not been released.
