An injured hiker was airlifted from a Ragged Point-area trail over the weekend.

First responders say the woman, reportedly in her 20s, fell approximately 30 feet Sunday from the Salmon Creek Trail, injuring her ankle.

One of her friends was able to hike out to the Highway 1 road closure where they then borrowed a phone to call for help, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A CHP helicopter was used to pull the injured woman from the trial. CAL FIRE and Cambria Ambulance assisted.
