"Operation Chill" is back in action and local law enforcement agencies across the nation have teamed up for the program.

Santa Maria police are taking part by handing out tickets to children who have committed good deeds, not bad ones.

This program awards children with free Slurpee coupons during the summer months as an incentive to do positive things within their community.

7-Eleven is celebrating its 23rd year of Operation Chill. The positive ticketing program allows officers to interact with the local youth and reward them for their good behavior.

7-Eleven will issue up to 1.4 million Slurpee coupons to 1,100 law enforcement agencies around the nation.
