People in parts of Santa Barbara woke up to a bit of a surprise Thursday morning.

Snow could be seen atop a portion of the mountains there.

Many areas of the Central and South coasts saw some rainfall overnight, at times heavy, ranging from 0.04” in Montecito to 0.20” in Nipomo.

The storm left the area Thursday morning. Patchy fog and mid- to high-level clouds were expected and a wind advisory for both San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties goes into effect at 1 p.m.
