No one was injured when a garbage truck caught on fire at Atascadero’s Colony Park Wednesday.
City officials say the Waste Management truck was in the parking lot when the fire broke out in some of the recyclables.
In order for the fire to be fully put out, officials say the truck had dump the trash into the parking lot.
Public Works crews were called out to help with the cleanup.
No word on what may have sparked the blaze.
Damage to the trust was estimated at $500.
