Allegiant Air is adding another flight to Las Vegas from the Santa Maria Public Airport.
The new flight will serve passengers on Mondays. Allegiant already flies between Santa Maria and Las Vegas on Fridays, Sundays and Wednesdays.
The first flight, on Oct. 8, 2018, is scheduled to take off from Santa Maria at 8:19 p.m.
Allegiant is currently the only commercial airline operating out of the Santa Maria Public Airport. Mokulele Airlines, which flew between Santa Maria and Los Angeles, ended its service in November 2017.
General Manager Chris Hastert says the airport is continuing to meet with other airlines for future expansion.
