The president of the University of California system will be on the Cuesta College campus Monday.

Janet Napolitano will be meeting with students and community members about a new agreement between the U.C. system and community colleges to make degrees more affordable.

The agreement makes enrollment easier for transfer students, and extends scholarships and financial aid.

Napolitano will be part of the public forum, which begins at 6 p.m. at the San Luis Obispo campus.

It is hosted by the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce.
