Officials with the San Luis Coastal Unified School District will hold another community meeting Monday about the impacts of the Diablo Canyon power plant closure.

The plant’s closure will cause a significant financial loss to the school district’s budget.

A committee is presenting financial recommendations to help the district deal with the financial hit.

The plan includes $3 million worth of reductions to district office and personnel over the next two years.

A plan to cut $5 million over the next three years has also been drafted.

Monday night, district officials will ask parents and concerned residents to give feedback on the plan.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the Los Osos Middle School Library.

For those who cannot attend the meeting, the committee has an online survey where you can submit your thoughts on the plan.
