A warning about illegal door-to-door sales.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office says it’s received complaints about magazine solicitors in the Los Osos, North Coast and Five Cities areas.
Teams of solicitors, from out of the area, are going into neighborhoods with no sales permit or business license. The Sheriff’s Office says these solicitors are sometimes known to commit theft after going into a victim’s home while others have prior criminal history.
If you see any illegal solicitors, call law enforcement.
