Pryor Baird, who made it to the top 8 on NBC’s "The Voice," will perform at the 25th Annual Avila Beach Blues Festival.

The Orcutt native will join the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Shemekia Copeland for the free concert.

The festival is scheduled for Sunday, May 27 at the Avila Beach Resort. Gates open at noon and the concert starts at 2 p.m.

Organizers decided to turn the festival into a free event this after headliner Huey Lewis & the News had to cancel due to frontman Lewis’ sudden hearing loss. Anyone who previously purchased a ticket to the event will get a refund.

Baird, who was part of Team Blake, was eliminated from the singing competition show on Tuesday.
