Help send boxes to troops overseas ahead of Memorial Day

KSBY is teaming up once again with Si Tenenberg ahead of Memorial Day to send care packages to troops serving overseas.

This Wednesday, May 23, community members are encouraged to pick up boxes filled with supplies, take them to the post office, and pay for the postage.

This program was started by Tenenberg, a local former marine.

KSBY will be live with the boxes on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at our San Luis Obispo studio at 1772 Calle Joaquin. Boxes will also be available for pickup during that time at KSBY’s Santa Maria location at 731 S. Lincoln Street.

Those who would prefer to drop off a check to assist with postage should make them out to U.S.P.S. Each box costs $17.40 to ship.

The last time KSBY partnered with Tenenberg, viewers and community members picked up 82 boxes of supplies.
