CAL FIRE says the forward progress of a 100-acre fire in eastern San Luis Obispo County has been stopped.
It broke out late Thursday morning along the 6200 block of Bitterwater Road, about 11 miles southeast of Cholame.
The fire burned mostly grass. As of 12:30 p.m., it was 70 percent contained.
