More than 1,200 PG&E customers in the Avila Beach and surrounding area were without power Friday evening.
According to PG&E, crews were working to determine what caused the outage, which reportedly began just before 6:30 p.m.
Areas affected appeared to include a portion of Diablo Canyon property, Wild Cherry Canyon, the majority of Avila Beach, extending onto See Canyon Road and into Prefumo Canyon.
Crews estimated restoration would happen by around 9:30 p.m.
