Officials with California Highway Patrol say two people were killed in a crash on S. Thompson Ave. around 10:40 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators say a silver Lexus was traveling southbound on S. Thompson Ave. when they veered off the west side of the road, over-corrected, and the vehicle overturned on the east side of the roadway.

One man was ejected out of the vehicle and died on the scene, authorities say. CHP says the other man extricated himself from the vehicle and was alive when officers arrived but died while paramedics were working on him. It’s unclear which man was driving the vehicle.

The identities of the men have not been released.

Drivers can expect the area to be closed off until about 2 a.m. Sunday.
