The 4th Annual Memorial Day Cruise rolled through the Five Cities area and into San Luis Obispo Sunday morning.
Souped-up trucks and recreational vehicles headed to the parking lot at the end of Grand Avenue in Grover Beach for the start of a memorial cruise meant to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.
American flags and flags honoring prisoners of war were waving throughout the cruise down Highway 1. "I mean we fly them high and proud all the way out," said Jesse Hupka, organizer of the cruise.
Every year, the event becomes more popular.
