Kris Kristofferson to perform at California Mid-State Fair

Legendary singer/songwriter Kris Kristofferson will perform this summer at the California Mid-State Fair.

The concert will take place on the Frontier Stage on Saturday, July 28 with performances at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Kristofferson will be backed by Merle Haggard’s band, The Strangers.

Kristofferson is known for being the songwriter behind such hits as "Me and Bobby McGee," "Help Me Make it Through the Night," "Sunday Morning Coming Down," and "For the Good Times." The Country Music Hall of Fame member is also a three-time GRAMMY winner and has recorded 30 albums, including three as part of The Highwaymen with Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings.

All concerts on the Frontier Stage are free with paid fair admission.

The 2018 California Mid-State Fair runs from July 18 to 29 at the Paso Robles Event Center.
