Firefighters are on scene of a house fire in Cambria early Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported at about 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of the 1100 block of Pinewood Dr. and 5100 block of Oakhurst Dr.
According to officials with Cal Fire SLO, firefighters arrived at the scene and saw smoke and flames coming from the home.
Cambria Fire Chief William Hollingsworth told KSBY a woman escaped her burning single-story home with some burn injuries.
She was taken to the hospital while firefighters from Cambria, Morro Bay and Cal Fire SLO spent about two hours knocking down the flames.
Chief Hollingsworth says about 60 percent of the home was damaged in the fire.
It’s unclear how the fire started but Hollingsworth says they know it started somewhere inside the home.
Firefighters remain on scene this morning to make sure the fire does not reignite.
Chief Hollingsworth says an investigation will be done over the next few days to determine how the fire sparked.
