The line stretched out the door at the new Blaze Pizza in Santa Maria on Friday.
The restaurant was celebrating the opening of its second Santa Maria location by giving away free pizzas.
"It’s easier, closer to where I live," Santa Maria resident Angel Hernandez said about the new location.
"I think it’s kinda smart cause I feel like the other one’s been doing a lot (of business)," added Santa Maria resident Jose Gutierrez. "By opening a second one, I feel like they will make more money."
The new restaurant is located on Betteravia Road in the Enos Ranch shopping center. The other Blaze Pizza in Santa Maria is located on North Broadway.
