One person has been airlifted to Marian Medical Center with major injuries after their vehicle was found crashed 100 ft. off of the roadway on State Route 166, east of Tepusquet Road.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, just before 10:30 a.m. Sunday, they responded to reports of an accident, along with Los Padres National Forest and officials from the Santa Maria City Fire Department.

They found one vehicle off the road 100 ft. with two occupants inside. The occupants had to be extricated. One was transported by a CAL STAR helicopter to Marian Medical Center with major injuries, the other was taken to the hospital via ambulance with moderate injuries.
One lane of State Route 166 was blocked during the extrication.
California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
