Santa Maria Elks Rodeo and Parade organizers say 35,000 people showed up for this year’s rodeo.
Approximately the same amount of people showed up for last year’s event.
The entire weekend from delivered fun for the whole family, including more than 200 floats and Camp Buckaroo.
Five rodeo queen candidates raised more then $62,000 in six weeks. In total, more than $12 million was raised for children battling cancer. 25 children will each receive more than $1,000 from donations at the rodeo.
"We’re just so grateful for the volunteers for the sponsors for the business, all of the fans that come out and truly enjoy but embrace what the rodeo has really come to stand for, which is community support and values," said media director Johnna Clark.
