UPDATE (12:55 a.m.) – The final election night update shows Bordonaro with 32,084 votes and Boyer with 19,581 votes. Ballot counting will continue on Wednesday morning.
Results for the San Luis Obispo County Assessor are coming in and so far, incumbent Tom Bordonaro is taking the lead.
He is up against David Boyer. Around 11:30 p.m., Bordonaro had about 62 percent of the vote with 104 of the 144 precincts reporting.
Bordonaro has been the county assessor since 2003. Boyer works in the county assessor’s office as a deputy assessor. He has accused Bordonaro of rarely ever being in the office, but Bordonaro said the low number of assessment appeals shows that his office is running efficiently.
