The Santa Barbara Police responded to a stabbing at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 7.
Officials say the stabbing happened near the Milpas St. roundabout and the suspect fled the scene.
After a short search a suspect was captured not far from the scene and taken into custody.
Officials say the victim was an adult male who had to be transported to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
Police say they are not sure of any motives yet, and names have not been released.
The condition of the victim in the hospital is currently unknown.
