A local centenarian spent his big day out on the golf course this weekend.
For his 100th birthday, Gene Russell wanted to play three holes of golf with his friend, who is just 5-years-old.
They teed off Saturday morning in Arroyo Grande.
Russell told KSBY News, "I just don’t want to embarrass the kid. I feel for him, and I don’t want to embarrass myself, so I hope we both do good."
No word on how the two met or when they plan to be out on the course together again.
