Locals had the chance to brush up on their knowledge of marijuana and hemp over the weekend at this year’s THC Fair.
The event was held on Saturday and Sunday at the Alex Madonna Expo Center, open to those 21 and older.
Attendees browsed hemp and cannabis products, grow and harvest equipment, and attended educational sessions on growing, medicinal benefits, and legal discussions.
Now that recreational cannabis is legal in California, the fair saw some new faces.
"You get a lot of folks who come out learning more about cannabis, they’ve heard more success stories from their friends and relatives and now that they don’t need to have a cannabis card to access it and they can just buy it recreationally, people are opening their minds to it and giving it a try," said Chris Merritt.
This was the third year the fair came to San Luis Obispo.
