Highway 166 was closed at Bonita School Road between Santa Maria and Guadalupe Tuesday afternoon after an SUV crashed into a power pole.
It happened at about 2 p.m.
Fire officials say the driver was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Because the pole was leaning, traffic was diverted and PG&E crews were called in to make repairs.
